About Jaylen
New Jersey Bred. Built for the Next Level.
Jaylen McClain’s journey from Rahway, New Jersey, to Ohio State has been defined by discipline and preparation. After a standout career at Seton Hall Prep, he graduated early and enrolled at Ohio State in January 2024. He became a national champion during his freshman season and has since earned a starting role at safety for the Buckeyes.

Off the Field
Although the game demands a lot of his time, off the field Jaylen enjoys drawing, working on his golf game, watching scary movies, spending time with friends, and hanging out with his French Bulldog, Chop. When he’s back home in Rahway, he’s one third of the McClain football trilogy, as big brother to KJ (freshman safety at Tennessee) and Cameron (junior defensive end at Seton Hall Prep).
Faith, Family, and Community
Raised by a dad who played safety at Syracuse and a mom who is an educator, Jaylen credits his faith, his family, and his community for getting him here. He wants young athletes to see that character, consistency, and giving back count as much as stats and trophies. That belief is why he and his family started Everyday Legends.
